One of my daughter’s favorite books!  Love the story!  She always wants to sing “Happy birthday” at the end and learned to sing the song before she was 2.  May also inspire your child to get excited about (helping to) cooking/baking.

The story is fine. Spot and Sally go shopping, bake a cake, clean up, and celebrate. It’s not board book material so it doesn’t stay open easily which is frustrating for my son. It’s not paperback, it’s not board book, it’s somewhere in between.
