**Q: Will this charger work with 18v 4.0ah batteries? the description says 3.0ah but my batteries are 4.0ah. will this work?**
A: Yes

**Q: Will this charge a 36 volt battery? I received the charger and it only states 14.4 volts and 18volts?**
A: Yes it does charge the 36 v , as do the other chargers that don’t say it . I’ve used my 36 batts on every charger metabo has and it works fine

**Q: What is the input voltage of the charger?**
A: 110/115v ac 60 hz

**Q: Will the ac power ports work with the batteries or do they only work when plugged in the wall?**
A: The AC plugs are only active while plugged into a 110VAC wall outlet. The USB ports will run on AC or DC from a battery pack (if present) and after the button is USB button is pressed to activate the circuit. I checked the unit and the manual. The manual only mentions pass through AC rated at 1 amp while the unit is powered by AC.

I was starting to buy Metabo tools and I got this charger at super discount, the functionalities are excellent, I think it is unique, it can charge the batteries simultaneously or each. It also has the option of 2 USB ports for phones or another USB connection that you need and above all it has the option of being able to provide power, while connected, it is compact, lightweight and has a handle. I was tired of having a wall of chargers when on a job site, now I just need one charger that will charge 4 batteries at once or in sequential order. Works on a mix of 18v and 36v batteries at the same time. Plus the inclusion of 2 USB ports and 2 10amp AC ports comes in quite handy. Over the years I've collected numerous Hitachi/Metabo tools, some 18v and some Multivolt, and this charges the batteries for all of them. Highly recommended!

This device allows me to charge 4 of my Metabo/Hitachi batteries at one time. What would improve the device is if it came with a cover to prevent it from accumulating dust in the garage. I cannot speak for longevity at this time.
