A: You can try but please make sure THE CABLE is NOT ROLLED AT ALL and check it after 3-4 hours and if the cable or actual socket is too warm, than buy a special one

**Q: Can this be leftboutside in all weather conditions? Need to use for a heated pet bowl to stop the water freezing?**
A: This is IP54 rated which means it is protected against splashing water. These are supposed to be temporary usage only so i would suggest fitting an outdoor socket which is permanent.
