Review: Fabulous product and very easy to use - I trawled through lots of reviews before purchasing the Osmo Polyx Oil Semi-Matt. As others have said, if you follow the instructions, it goes on really well without clouding the surface. I used it over a Littlefair's floor stain (Modern Oak on pine floorboards) and chose semi-matt as didn't want a completely dull floor. The sheen is very subtle, but looks good nonetheless. To avoid having to clean a brush I applied with a clean microfibre cloth and this worked brilliantly. It got easier as the cloth became more steeped in the oil - you need just enough so it glides over the surface - so I kept it in an airtight bag overnight for the second coat. The odour is quite strong and takes a while to dissipate but it's not unpleasant (reminded me of oil paint/art studios). The oil was a bit of an outlay but it goes a long way and I'll have enough for several rooms. The cost of prep, stain and oil compares favourably to carpeting and, in my opinion, looks far better.

Beautiful finish and seems very durable. I trawled through lots of reviews before purchasing the Osmo Polyx Oil Semi-Matt. As others have said, if you follow the instructions, it goes on really well without clouding the surface.
