It requires a slip to make it hang correctly and a push up or strapless bra. It is cotton so it must be ironed. I thought the apron was a little small so I ordered another one that has polyester in it to reduce the ironing - it is a bit longer and has longer ties. Part of the elastic gathering was off the apron. The detail work in the bodice area is really terrific and intricate. The metal chain holders are edelweiss. I knew that the fit was going to be a bit off - I elected to make sure the waist fit more than the bust. Be sure and measure before ordering.
