I wear 40 or 42 pants and the XL belt barely goes around me and provides barely enough extra material to feed back through the double-buckle. I have about 4 inches of material to double back and feed through two buckles. Tough to put and even tougher to take back off. Whenever I have a sore finger or hand, this belt is very difficult and slow to manipulate, which is a major problem when going to the bathroom. And it's nearly impossible to put on or take off when I concealed carry, because all the pressure is on just the very last 1 to 2 inches of belt fabric. Absolutely, definitely, positively size up!The double-buckle setup is not intuitive. It took several minutes to figure it out. No instructions. To make it easier, like I said, size up and give yourself a little extra belt length to work with. That gives you more fabric to put leverage on, for donning or doffing.But other than that, it is a comfortable, attractive silver belt.
