Review: Very well made - added use experience - This comes in a very well thought out kit with added hose washers and Teflon tape. I put these on a freeze proof faucets with 100 psi pressure and they work very well. Use tip, when you turn the water off, holes around the diameter of the device open to bleed the pressure off. If you have a nozzle or other device causing back pressure you WILL get wet. When you turn the water off, it is best to insure your nozzle is wide open to help bleed the pressure off the hose and place your hand over the fitting on the faucet to deflect the water away from your pants.

I was replacing an old back flow limiter that was defective. My first time to do this. A bit of advice for anyone else doing this for the first time: 1. I discovered that the old one was locked on with a setscrew. I had to carefully drill this out to remove it. 2. These new ones also have a setscrew. You are expected to tighten it on until the head of the screw breaks off. I chose to not do that, in case I needed to remove it later. But, again, I am pleased with what I received.

**Q: The 3/4 is to small for my faucet.  What’s the next size up?**
A: The 3/4 size is used for residential. If you have a larger size you may have a commercial application which you may require a back flow preventer.

**Q: made in ....?**
A: Why is it important to know where this is made. Most things these days are made in China. These devices last approx 6 years. If you live in the south, the hardness of the water limits the life span to the 6 years. If you live in the north ( Canada/North USA) the frozen temps affect the life span as most people don't drain  all the water from their outside lines.

**Q: Is the product labeled with nsf, ansi, or can 61?**
A: I am not able to tell you our maintenance man installed and he is not available.

**Q: Why does it spray water every time you release the hose spray handle as though you shut the water off at the valve?.**
A: it should not spray water if the vacuum breaker functions properly. it spray water when I turn on and off the trigger from the hose sprayer. also when i turn off the faucet, it also sprays out water. I always get wet. I don't know if that is what vacuum breaker suppose to work.
