The picture is HD in color with the lights on and black and white HD when it's dark. These cameras literally saved my life. My pup is suffering from seizures and I couldn't sleep and was terrified I would not be around if it happened again. Last night time was the first time I slept in weeks. Anytime I woke up, I just went into the app and within seconds could see my pup sleeping soundly. I will probably buy a few more. Please do not hesitate to buy this product. To me 40 bucks a camera is like pennies in exchange for your pet's safety and your peace of mind. I don't even write reviews. But I had to for this one.
