When you use a genuine Apple cable (which of course is the only cable that works, you can't use a third party one like Amazon Basics), the devices wiggle around when they are placed on the dock. Why? Because the way it sits, it has the connector, then the plastic piece, then it meshes flushed with the dock. So rather than the device sitting almost flush with the bottom of the cradle, it's balancing a few mm off the dock. With an iPhone 6+ and iPad mini, the results were downright meh. Further adding to the problem, despite the fact that it was threaded properly, the Apple connector isn't firmly in place. Because you take the cable and thread it through the "adapter", then stick the adapter in the cradle. So I found that my connector would tend to push slightly down and up...basically, it's just not a great device if you own an Apple product. If I owned an Android, the cables that come with it are one piece. That is, there isn't an "adapter" really, it just has a micro USB. It wouldn't push around, the fitament would be better, you name it.The dock itself is heavily constructed and feels well-built. But the overall fit of my Apple devices is terrible, and the interaction with the genuine Apple cable is very poor. ### ⭐⭐ 2.0 out of 5 stars High Hopes, Squandered *by R***Y on Reviewed in the United States on March 31, 2014* Unfortunately, this item really didn't live up to all the hype and expectations. As an original backer of the Kickstarter project and an avid dock-user I thought this thing looked perfect, but in practice it proves to be far more trouble than convenience. With this particular dock I'm using an HTC One (M7) and a Nexus 7 (2013). I've tried both devices both with and without cases, but the end result is the same. With the HTC One, because the charging port is off-centered, the device sits tilted and off-center on the dock, immediately killing the nice, clean, sleek look (despite the original photos show the HTC One as being somehow centered on the dock). With the Nexus 7 it takes me about 10 fumbling attempts to get the device to sit onto the micro USB, and I've tried this with the provided silicone, with the optional thin silicone, and without the silicone entirely all with the same result.I imagine if you have an iDevice this dock will work perfectly, but Android users ought look elsewhere. My excitement over this dock turned quickly into disappointment not only because of how difficult and sloppy it is to get my devices on the charger, but because of how terrible it works with the HTC One. Granted, I don't know why HTC decided to be rebels and go with an off-center charging port, but either way, this product that's marketed to work with all devices might do just that, but results will vary. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Not perfect, but does its job *by A***H on Reviewed in the United States on March 28, 2014* For the price you're paying; which is quite a lot I expected something like Apple quality in terms of machinery and coating on this piece of metal. However, I noticed a couple of minor nicks in the paint/coat job which expose the metal underneath on the sides of the device. While this is nothing major I expected more for the $70 price tag.This dock gets the job done for what I need it to do (Dock my iPhone 5 and iPad Mini 2).
