Review: They say this one is better than the newer models.. - I researched this version vs new versions of the Bose Mini Soundlink. This one won in sound quality and range in multiple side by side comparisons I found. I don’t hesitate choosing this one over newer models. Also, I like that this has the aux in option so that I can connect anything to it- even to a lower quality record player w cheap built in speakers. It’s much nicer to listen to.
Review: Just replaced my entire Sonos system with this. - We moved to the country, no Wifi! So, no Sonos. Had to say goodbye to my PLAY:3, PLAY:5, and PLAY:1. These were great high-end speakers and their new owner is stoked. However, so am I. Why? Because: 1) This little cutie has amazing dynamic range. At least as good as Sonos PLAY:3, and almost as good as PLAY:5 (a heavy non-portable speaker). 2) It comes with me to the hot tub. 3) Bluetooth! Don't need Wifi. 4) I get to just use the Apple Music app and don't have to mess with Sonos app (neither are wonderful, but Sonos was more confusing). I seriously can't believe this product is 6 years old. It looks and feels cutting edge. FWIW mine was new in box from Bose with warranty and all that. Addendum 6 years later: still loving this little speaker, which fills the whole living area. I tried paired speakers for a while, but went back to this for its simplicity, and better clarity at high and low frequencies.

**Q: Can you answer phonecalls?**
A: What you can do is answer the call on your phone like you always do but you can actually listen to the caller by connecting the blue tooth speaker to your phone. So you would speak into the phone but the person can be heard on the speaker. Great if you're placing a call where others want to hear or speak to the person on the other end, Like when kids are calling their grandparents.

**Q: what is the range from phone to unit?**
A: About 12 ft - after that especially if there is a wall in the way it does tend to go in and out a bit. But up to the 12 ft even with a door or wall in the way it's fine! Hope this helps?

**Q: Does this come with a lithium battery?**
A: yes sure

**Q: what is the wattage power of the speakers?**
A: Great question. I’m not really sure but this mini speaker packs a lot of robust Bose sound. It’s powerful enough to fill a room with music but if you’re having a party of any sort, the people talking and laughing in a big room would drown it out.  Itnots great at the pool and even gives a nice sound at the beach which is an open area. I was pleasantly surprised when I took it to the beach and I was able to hear my music even over other music playing around me. I take it everywhere.
