It's like they built it without testing it before putting it on the market. There are a lot of similar styled poppers like this on the market but bottom line....THE KERNELS EXPLODE OUT OF THE OVERLY HUGE OPENING, BLASTING UNPOPPED KERNELS AND POPCORN EVERYWHERE... I would say 30% of the kernels don't get popped, and if you are not standing there to grab the last few pieces of popcorn that are spinning at the bottom, they will burn. This model was a gift, but we had an almost identical popper that died on us after a few uses. This leads me to believe that the motor/heater probably wears out quickly or overheats and burns out, so I wouldn't leave this thing on for very long.
