Each container was advertised as including 5 caterpillars, but when I received them, they each had 7 caterpillars. All 28 caterpillars became chrysalis and they attached to the top of the container. Six chrysalis fell, but l was able to reattach them with small pieces of scotch tape. Having these caterpillars has been a tremendous experience for my students. They were able to follow each stage in the metamorphosis process, but they were also able to witness specific moments, such as when the chrysalis start to shake signaling they are about to hatch or when they butterflies are just born and their wings are still rolled.
