Thankfully big green egg as an excellent warranty program It's all ceramics have been covered, but a cast iron and steel parts are an out of pocket cost. I found over the years that the cast iron grate specifically would take a lot of abuse, being that it's so close to the flame. I've had no fewer than three of them crack and warp, then rust, and need replacement. This basket has been a perfect replacement.
