Review: Just what I needed! - I love these bowls. Well made, real glass, TONS of uses from baking ingredients pre-measured and laid out, condiment bowls, salad ones, eating, mixing, chip or candy dish or other assorted nibbles like olives spread out when holding an after work, relaxed wine and cheese meal when you just want simple over fancy, (but better than just jars opened,) including the easy clean-up. Topping the uses is that the set is nesting so ten bowls get stored all in the space just for the largest one. Flat as well, so the basket of measuring spoons and cups plus can be placed right on top, everything needed to bake with kept together in one place. Very hard to pick out the most usable size in the set since even the tiniest 1oz is perfect to hold the dry yeast in when making a multi-flour loaf in the bread machine. Or dried spices for something else. Busy household, and there's nothing worse than being interrupted and forgetting what was already added or not to something when you finally can get back to it. Along with the bowl set I picked up some silicone 'stretch lids' so now have covers that fit when something needs popping in the fridge or items like beans or oats need to soak while keeping curious cat paws out. Note that a couple, but not all of the bowls do have tiny air bubbles or minor line ripples under a quarter of an inch in the glass here and there. These are not elegant crystal, but they are solid and feel like will last through a lot of use. A bit heavy when all are together, but that just adds to the stability factor in my book. Review: Color glass in the Kitchen! So fun! - What's not to love about colored glass kitchen wares? I did not need another set of mixing bowls, but I really love the color Anchor or Pyrex. These are cool. One of my bowls did have a small bubble but I am not planning on putting these in the oven so hopefully that won't matter. I chose the blue but they also have green and rose! I have used these for making pizza dough and they have worked great. Pictured next to my All-Clad mixing bowl set.

**Q: Is the Anchor hocking glass bowl set microwave and oven safe?**
A: NO NO NO NO. I bought a set and while I was reheating my noodles in the microwave for less than three minutes, the glass bowl exploded. Tiny shards of glass everywhere!!

**Q: what is the measurement of the biggest bowl , width and height?**
A: Haven't measure them, but 10'x4.5" sounds about right.  It is a very large bowl.

**Q: Are the 6 smaller bowls available in a separate set? I find it useful to have multiple pinch bowls in that size. Thank you!**
A: There are 4 small pinch bowls in this set. As far as I know, it is a set.

**Q: Can you use these with a hand blender**
A: Most mixing bowls are deeper than these but I would say yes if you don’t fill the bowl to fill

I love these bowls. What's not to love about colored glass kitchen wares? I did not need another set of mixing bowls, but I really love the color Anchor or Pyrex. These are cool. These bowls are made of a good, heavy glass. The set was smaller in size than I had anticipated -- the largest was smaller than I had thought, and the smallest much smaller than I need -- but they are excellent for all kitchen uses. Since they are glass, they are dishwasher/microwave safe, but they can be broken (no, I haven't broken any). When I need a really large bowl for mixing large batches, I have to use a stainless steel bowl that is much larger than the largest of these glass bowls. These are a good buy.
