Simply start to lift the hood with one hand and it will rise unassisted in a smooth and controlled motion. Review: No more hood prop rod - Love these on my old Tacoma they were easy to install makes opening and closing the hood so much easier don’t have to stretch to get the prop rod up Review: Nice struts. - Excellent product. Makes lifting the hood much easier and you no longer need that prop rod. Good instruction. I will say the rivets supplied are the hardest ones I have ever used to make the final cut with. The clunky prop-rod is always in the way, but after removing the prop rod and installing a Hood Quicklift System the engine bay is free from obstructions. All Quicklift Systems utilize progressive-rate gas springs that will lift and hold your hood open. Simply start to lift the hood with one hand and it will rise unassisted in a smooth and controlled motion. - Installation - The Hood Quicklift System includes all components needed for the installation. Some mounting hardware included in the system requires use of special multi-grip rivets (included) to attach ball stud brackets, drilling is required. A full-color installation manual is included to make installation quick and easy. - Quicklift Plus (All Black System) - All installation hardware is designed to last as all metal is double-treated. Steel mounting-hardware is zinc plated, then black powder coated for both appearance and added corrosion protection. There is a 4 year warranty on all Quicklift Plus components. - Gas Springs (Black) - The gas springs used in this application each have a black e-coated steel body with black annealed extending rod. The end-fittings used are designed specifically for this application. - End-of-stroke-dampening - All gas springs utilize progressive-rate valving technology. Designed into each gas spring is an end-of-stroke dampening which slows the rate of extension over the final inches of travel. This feature reduces stress on hood and mounting hardware. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00T68UKBQ | | Auto Part Position | Front | | Best Sellers Rank | #194,903 in Automotive ( See Top 100 in Automotive ) #804 in Automotive Replacement Shock Lift Supports | | Brand | Redline Tuning | | Brand Name | Redline Tuning | | Color | Black | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 495 Reviews | | EU Spare Part Availability Duration | 4 years | | Extended Length | 7.87 inches | | Included Components | (2) Black Gas Springs & black powder-coated mounting hardware | | Item Highlight | Compatible with 2005-2015 Toyota Tacoma (All Black Components) | | Item Weight | 1.4 pounds | | Manufacturer | Redline Tuning | | Material | Alloy Steel | | Material Type | Alloy Steel | | Model | QuickLIFT PLUS | | Number of Items | 1 | | Part Number | 21-27010-02 | | Warranty Description | Manufacturer warranty for 4 years from date of purchase. | ## Product Details - **Auto Part Position:** Front - **Brand:** Redline Tuning - **Color:** Black - **Extended Length:** 7.87 Inches - **Material:** Alloy Steel ## Images ![Redline Tuning 21-27010-02 Hood Quicklift Plus Fits Toyota Tacoma 2005-2015 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81VdCAYSg6L.jpg) ![Redline Tuning 21-27010-02 Hood Quicklift Plus Fits Toyota Tacoma 2005-2015 - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71GJ6zf3cLL.jpg) ![Redline Tuning 21-27010-02 Hood Quicklift Plus Fits Toyota Tacoma 2005-2015 - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71EAp6x4YoL.jpg) ![Redline Tuning 21-27010-02 Hood Quicklift Plus Fits Toyota Tacoma 2005-2015 - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71iHOKowyQL.jpg) ![Redline Tuning 21-27010-02 Hood Quicklift Plus Fits Toyota Tacoma 2005-2015 - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71UH+hHNcrL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ No more hood prop rod *by C***Y on June 6, 2026* Love these on my old Tacoma they were easy to install makes opening and closing the hood so much easier don’t have to stretch to get the prop rod up ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice struts. *by M***E on February 26, 2026* Excellent product.
