Review: Works better then any other toilet bowl cleaner - I've used many different toilet bowl cleaners in my day, all with very little success. Most might tint the water, keep it a bit more clean, and give it a scent. But this is the first one that actually did the job of regular manual bowl scrubbing. Our main problem is scum/mineral buildup around the water line in the bowl. I compared this directly with 3 different methods to see how well it worked, used in our main floor family toilet. 1) Drop-in blue toilet tank cleaner. This did very little to keep the buildup down. Within 2 weeks there was a noticeable line and it needed scrubbed. 2) Scrubbing bubbles automatic cleaner. This helped somewhat, but there was still slow buildup and certainly within a month it needed scrubbing. 3) Clorox toilet wand gel cleaner. This also did very little to keep the buildup down. Lasted less then two weeks. All of them did decently to keep the water looking clean and a "fresh" scent. However wasn't really what I was looking for. Now the results of this unit... In our heavily used family bathroom - this unit lasted an amazing 3-4 months before it ran out of the cartridge, and the results started to become evident. The whole time it not only kept the water/scent clean, it kept the buildup in the waterline completely gone! I did not have to scrub the toilet once or apply any additional cleaner to it at all. Gone are the days of weekly scrubbing the nasty toilet! This is truly a great product. I hooked this up in line, and in combination with ONE2FLUSH Dual Flush Toilet Conversion Kit Bonus Pack with new improved handle design, Better Fill water saving fill valve 3 St. Steel Bolts,Tank Bowl Gasket. Convert existing toilets to efficient dual flush toilets that Exceed Green Plumbing Codes. , it connected easily, and it works great. I would definitely recommend the Dual Flush kit, it saves a lot of water. So far I've only used the bleach refills, currently testing out the blue refills, and then will look at the green/biobalance to compare them all. I do have a septic tank, its aerobic and my final stage treatment before discharge is also chlorine. Still it's best to minimize the amount of bleach put in for the main tank bacteria to survive. However, the very minimal amount this introduces is not a problem (especially when compared to bleach and cleaners from everything else), and its certainly not a problem to my ground at final discharge. Just stating on how I'm not buying into their "biobalance" refill too much. I definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for the best possible toilet bowl cleaner out there. I can only hope the bleach refills go on sale and I can buy them in bulk, because they are a bit pricey when buying for 3 bathrooms everything 4 months.
Review: Work Perfectly as advertised. Very easy to install. - What an easy hook up. Took me 3 minutes per toilet to install these units. They wok perfectly when you flush the toilet. Allows the bleach to coat and sit in the bowl to help with cleaning and sanitizing. I used my hot tub chlorine tests strips to measure the amount of chlorine in the bowl after a flush and it read 3 PPM’s which is ideal for sanitizing. Some people state in the reviews it had a huge chlorine sent. Thats really dependent upon your nose. lol. I didn’t notice a severe smell of chlorine. It was subtle Love these units. Keeps the bowl fresh. I still do a deep clean as needed and for sure once a week but these help between cleanings. Love them.

**Q: What is the difference betwee the Fluid Master Flush and Sparkle 8100 and 8300P8 models?**
A: 8300 is bleach only.  The description for 8100 blue cartridge says that in addition to the bleach, it is a Surfactant-based cleaning agent which reduces spread of viruses and bacteria.  The 8200 green cartridge is for septic tanks where bleach shouldn't be used.

**Q: Is the cartridge supposed to sit above or below the water line of the tank, or doees it matter?**
A: Thank you for your question concerning 8300P8 Flush “n” Sparkle Bleach Kit. The housing unit that the cartridge is inserted into is a sealed container and can get wet. The housing unit in most cases is located above the water line however it can be partially submerged. **Q: Is this product safe for septic systems?  I mean, will it kill all the good bacteria in the septic tank?**
A: It's fine. We use bleach in way higher quantity in the washing machine with no issues. Your septic tank is a few hundred gallons of poo. That little amount will do nothing.

**Q: Is the cartride supposed to sit above or below the water line of the tank, or does it even matter?**
A: It does not matter. The cartridge gets water directly from the toilet float valve. There are two tubes to the cartridge system, input and output, water is pushed into the cartridge system circles around the cleaning tablet and out through the output line into the flapper and to the toilet bowl.

I've used many different toilet bowl cleaners in my day, all with very little success. Most might tint the water, keep it a bit more clean, and give it a scent. I'm liking the look of this product so far. I just wish the manufacturer included a matching leveling clip because, like others, I ended up modifying the mount so that the tank lid could lay stable. It only takes few minutes with a hacksaw, but it shouldn't be necessary.
