And I love that it does so without having to shock my dog. It’s not like those other collars you see with the 2 sharp prongs that dig into your dogs neck. The device on the collar is just a small square, and produces a beep on the first 2 barks. If your dog barks once more soon after the 2 warning it will vibrate. That vibration is not at all painful, but does seem to surprise my dog and stop his barking. I noticed after a couple days I didn’t even need to turn the device on, simply wearing the collar seemed to be enough. Although he did eventually realize that it was off, so I do have to turn it on occasionally to have the same curbing effect to the barking. Sadly, I can no longer use the collar as my dog has scratched at it so much the collar material itself is frayed and can no longer be used. It is too expensive to purchase another so soon. I would recommend for small dogs with a short term or occasional need to stop their barking, but for long term you may need something more durable. It does look like the device can be take off the collar though, and possibly put onto another? I have not tried this but am considering it since it’s useless at it is currently. Also, if you’re looking for something for a small dog (under 15 lbs) this is the only one I found that will fit. All the others on Amazon seem to be too large, or have those shock prongs. YOU DONT NEED A SHOCK TO CURB YOUR DOGS BARKING. i can absolutely confirm that simple vibration is effective. And much nicer for your pup. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Works for my Yorkie *by A***E on Reviewed in the United States on February 3, 2023* I have 2 Yorkies that are rescues. One male (11 pounds) and one female ( 5.5 pounds). The little one would go crazy and bark relentlessly in seeing other dogs and sometimes even people. I tried a number of tactics and dog classes with no luck. So I decided to get a bark collar though I did not want to shock her. The beep and vibrate were appealing. I have had the bark collar for about 3 weeks and I must say I had to work with it to get it to work for my dog. She has a tiny neck. So, I needed to cut about 4" off the collar for it to fit.. Even then I was worried about choking her and had it too loose on her neck. When she barked the first 3-4 times of use, she stopped but then continued. So, I tightened the collar and have been very pleased with the results. Since her hair is long, I do have to be careful not to get her hair in the latch. I typically only put it on her when we are outside. For the past week, if she barks, it is only once. Sometimes, she sees and greets the other dogs with no barking! A miracle! I used the collar inside the other day when I knew a repairman was coming and would knock at the door. She did bark as she ran to the door but then stopped. Again a huge improvement. Great value also. I have found that the the battery life is good and charge it periodically. I have found both dogs are a lot less stressed and my walks are much more enjoyable. Now I just need something to calm them in the car. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars It’s ok *by S***A on Reviewed in the United States on June 28, 2022* This collar is ok, I bought it for my 8 week puppy to help with attention barking. First off he is 4lb currently and it was too big, luckily I am a seamstress so I just cut the slack and stitched a dart so it fit him snug. Now in terms of the functionality. The collar beeps 3 times before it vibrates the dog, I wish that was different maybe just one warning not 3 because these puppies be testing you. Then once it vibrates them a few times it will stop and break for like another few minutes before the cycles restarts. So it’s not like a continuous loop, my dog just whines through the whole thing.He is kind of a brave little guy so I don’t think he really minds the vibration and I turned it up all the way. It does pick up whining so that’s good and it’s easy to use and charge.
