The included directions contain lots of grammatical errors and only provide a basic description of the product and its features. I have taken tons of Search & Rescue as well as land based navigation classes as a Paramedic and this compass has features that even I haven't been trained to use properly yet. Having said that, it's a great product and well-worth the money! Thanks!** A: It's a magnetic compass. I am not sure how to describe its "accuracy". Its arrow lines up with the magnetic pole, which is its purpose.
