Luckily all my pain has gone now! **Q: Are they washable** A: No they are not washable **Q: What is the height of these nsoles in the heel area?** A: There is a 1.75mm lip around the heel pad but your heel sits inside that and the thickness of the area actually under the heel is only about 0.65mm. What the heel sits on is a cushioned pad which makes it a lot softer than a normal insole. That takes the pressure off your heel. There is another cushioned pad under the front of your foot too which has the same effect. **Q: Are these sizes based on u.k. or u.s. sizing** A: I ordered mine based on UK sizing - you do need to trim them to fit into your shoes anyway, or I certainly did.
