Review: Great energy bars - I was first introduced to these bars by Imperfect Produce. They were a little pricey, but I loved the up-cycling concept and decided to give them a try. It was love at first bite, and I was thrilled to find them not only more reasonably priced, but also available in Subscribe & Save on desertcart. Unlike most other energy bars, these aren't sickeningly sweet. The coffee and malt and dark chocolate flavors are exactly what I was looking for in energy bars but seldom found. They're chewy but not gummy, and just the right size to be filling for a snack or quick breakfast without leaving you feeling overstuffed.

These have a healthy, full-bodied flavor. I am not sure how much of it is due to the re-graining, but it has a unique flavor. It is almost like a mixture of coffee and chocolate. Hmmm... Anyway, great for a snack or as part of a meal. The package opens easily, which is some kind of remarkable for a sports bar. They are kind of dry, which is why they only got a four. (OK, guys break out those leiderhosen...)
