Beam it up, Scotty! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Boldly Settle Where No Man Has Settled Before *by M***S on January 12, 2013* The packaging, presentation, and gameplay are all superb. This is a nice variation on the classic Catan setting that also throws in some new strategy elements with the addition of support cards which allow for a variety of different powers/abilities depending on the card drawn. It takes a bit of time to get used to the new resources and lingo for settlements, cities, and the like, but you quickly draw parallels between the new resources/buildings and the ones used in the standard version that helps players adapt. What impressed me the most were the figurines used for outposts, space stations, and shipping routes. It's a very big difference from the wooden monopoly-esque pieces from the standard version. Bottom line: You don't have to be a Star Trek fan to enjoy the game, but if you are then this will definitely please your inner-nerd.
