I bought it when I first started smoking pipe tobacco and didn't really know how to pack and light a pipe very well and it has stood up to all the abuse and still looks new and the inside of the bowl shows no signs of burnout or any damage. It is easy to pack, keep lot, and relatively easy to clean. I say relatively easy only because a pipe cleaner will not pass completely through the stem to the bowl which is my only complaint about this pipe and the only reason for four stars instead of five. Some people look down on a Dr. Grabow pipe because they perceive them as cheap garbage but don't listen to them. I own a couple high dollar Savinelli's and Butz-Choquin briars that I love, but I reach for my Dr. Grabow Savoy just as often as those because it smokes just as good. I also don't bother using the filters, I did when I first started smoking but soon abandoned them because they just funk up your pipe and don't add anything to the experience in my opinion. So in summary, I can't really think of a better pipe for the money...unless you look into Morgan Bones ;) Review: Very good smoking pipe.
