Thanks** A: The scale is about the same as the 70s/80s toys. Figures are about 3.75" tall. **Q: does the landing gear works without any problems or retracts after gears are down like some y-wings** A: Yep, not a problem. The toggle switch behind the R4 unit works perfectly. **Q: How does this model differ from the others?** A: I'm not sure what you mean when referring to others, but if you mean the other items posted... this is an exclusive from ToysRUs. Probably not different from others if they too are the exclusive version. There are 2 or three Y-Wings (colored - Red, Yellow, etc). so if you are interested verify which needed. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Y-wing gold 4 *by B***0 on June 23, 2013* This y-wing is the 30th anniversary edition. Great looking example. Never had the previous versions, so I can't say it's a better version. It is a good size for either displaying or for your kids to play with or yourself for that matter. This version is from the Gold squadron, Gold four to be exact and comes with Lt. Lepira and his R5 droid. There are no sounds on this version, come on Hasbro. The newer version from what I've heard is from the same mold as this one. On this version the R5 unit is not removable, it's just the top part of the head but it comes with a full figure R5 unit as well. The newer y-wing has a removable droid slot compared to this one. All in all a good version of the y-wing. The ones that are still out there are going up in price, so if you can get a 30th anniversary edition get it before they are all gone. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The best Y-Wing so far. *by M***R on June 1, 2011* I would say that this may be the best Y-Wing released so far. The mold is great and is largely based on the original Return Of The Jedi mold. The paint job is cool with its semi weathered look. Another great addition is the pilot and astromech, I think this is the only Y-Wing release where both are included. If there would have been some electronic sounds added, this Y-Wing would be over the top. Great pick up if you can find it under $50, any more than that, then I guess its all about how badly you want this in your collection. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Better than expected *by L***A on January 8, 2014* My big star wars fan ( age 26) was very impressed with this, especially the Pilot & Droid.
