It was difficult for me to find out how to make a claim and get the repair authorized. I don't believe any efforts were made to hide Asurion from me. All I needed was the desertcart order number. I purchased the monitor. Later, I purchased the Asurion warranty before the monitor arrived. Possibly even the same or next day. So, I was worried that Asurion would have an issue with that. They didn't. They only wanted me to prove that I purchased the warranty. You may even be able to purchase a product and buy the warranty right here on desertcart. I also noticed that right on Asurion's website, you can purchase a monthly warranty that covers all the electronics in your home. Just provided them with all the current products you own. I was worried that there would be some stipulation that would make my repair not allowed due to some fine print regulation. That doesn't appear to be so. I haven't received the product back yet, but the text said the repair was finished, so that does confirm that it was repaired. So, I am very happy with the service I have received, pretty fast considering it was a power surge and usually products hit by a surge need almost all electronics replaced. I figured I would end up with a pro-rated gift card that wouldn't be enough to even get a 20" 720p monitor. Most warranty companies fix enough products to remain a company while pocketing all the money from products that never need service.
