Spent a week on the beach with it and we had some really strong winds that turned my brother's umbrella inside out. this one stayed strong and we even ended up using this one to help block the wind from his umbrella haha! Its well made, and the material of the canopy seems like it will hold up well over time.It is a little heavy and kind of a pain to carry the umbrella (it comes with a cover with shoulder straps), the stand and the stakes but I used one of those "TB" brand beach carts and that helped a lot.As far as using the stakes, I will say that they don't glide in and out of the sand as easily as some of the videos suggest. But that may have just been the particular sand I was anchoring to. I never actually pushed the 2 ft stakes entirely into the sand mostly because the compacted sand that deep just resisted too much. I was going to keep working them in the whole way, but was afraid that I wouldn't be able to pull them back out. Once this thing is set up, with the stakes in, it WILL NOT be easily moved. I tried pulling straight up on it and moving it around, and it put up a fight. Yes, if you stood there for 15 minutes rocking it back and forth with all your strength you could probably get it loose from the sand (or break the base whichever would give first) but under normal and even strong winds, this this is planted solid.Since the stakes weren't in the whole way (maybe 2 inches were left above ground), it did rock slightly under HEAVY wind but I just piled some sand around it and that helped a lot. At first I compared the movement of this umbrella in the wind to other quality umbrellas and I was a little disappointed that the canopy seemed to move a little more. but I realized that this is 2-3 feet BIGGER than the other umbrellas. So naturally it will catch a little more wind. But again, this thing was planted. it wasn't going anywhere.All in all, it isn't necessarily as easy to put up as a standard umbrella that gets wedged into the sand, but its totally worth the extra couple minutes to set it up. it was rock solid and I look forward to trying it on my deck (with its ratchet strap) and at family events (with the shorter ground stakes). That versatility is what drove me to buy this versus that standard beach umbrella.*Note - in strong winds the best way to anchor this thing is to dig a small hole in the soft sand until you get to the more compact sand. THEN anchor it with the long stakes and bury the base with sand. Also, the only weakness I could see being a potential problem is where the joint is for tilting the umbrella. The "teeth" that mate together are only plastic. however, you use the provided (and tethered) allen wrench to tighten it down and the pressure holds it still. just make sure its tight and lined up or the teeth could be stripped. ### ⭐ Shipped with broken parts *by B***L on February 15, 2020* Bought a Morshade 360 in 2018 - it was perfect and functioned beautifully. Bought another one recently and it was shipped with a broken joint on the pole that allows you to tilt the umbrella. Furthermore, the broken part was hidden in the folds of the rolled up umbrella so whoever packed it had knowingly packed it with a damaged part.The shipping box had an old shipping label on it which had been partially removed and scratched out with a black marker.Morshade’s phone is disconnected and they are no longer listed as a BBB approved company. Plus, their website has been shut down. Unfortunately I must give them 1 star so my review doesn’t get rejected. ### ⭐⭐ Not for windy area *by J***4 on June 25, 2019* On my second one and it broke again. I live on the coast and twice broke where it articulates and even had it tied down.
