I’ve always wanted an auto darkening helmet but just dealt with the “flip”. Finally decided it was time to get one and couldn’t be happier with this one. I have no idea if the ones that cost $240 are better, but this works great and has all the adjustments you could need, at least for me being an amateur welder fixing my own stuff. You can adjust the amount of dimming, the speed at which it darkens, and the duration after you stop the arc that it returns to light. And the directions are clear and precise. So far I’ve used it to tune up my welding skills and do numerous small equipment repairs.
