Do beware and be careful when you unpack and setup the knife stand. They look modern and the stainless steel is not so bright or sketchy but with gripping handles. Knife block is well made to hold the knifes in place and everything fits properly with no issues so far. I was worried about the stain after few washes but till now knife looks anew after several uses. We didn't unpack everything as the knife set has more than required, so we kept few for future use. Apart from the accidental cut i had during unpacking, i can't complain on both the quantity and quality. The workmanship and grind is very good to excellent. Most importantly, the X50Cr15, is a high carbon knife that holds the edge longer and sharpness to a higher level. Higher the carbon, higher propensity to rust. HARDNESS is excellent as well. For $39???...Grab it!! Hand wash and dry immediately...if rust appears, I believe white vinegar will do the trick. And yes, higher the carbon, the more brittle the knife.
