Kept looking until I found one that said it fits the original iPad. Bah! The case fits loosely and the buttons aren't accessible. The power and volume buttons don't align properly. We finally broke out the little "tabs" that cover the buttons - it looks like you are supposed to press the tabs but that didn't work - and then it was obvious why they didn't work. The tabs don't actually line up with the buttons. With the tabs broken out she can use a fingernail to actually turn the thing on and off but there is still no way to actuate the volume buttons. This thing is going straight into the trash. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Value *by I***N on Reviewed in the United States on October 20, 2015* Alright let's start off with some clarifications, I saw there was a few complaints that there was no opening in the back of the case for a camera (there is no camera on the iPad 1st gen) and also that charging it is a bit difficult(I've had no problems with this), and also, the volume rockers are very hard to use. Now I will agree that the volume buttons built into the case are a bit stiff, however, they are still very manageable and provide nice protection for your device. Finally, I saw some complaints about this case not being very sturdy, this case is not the kind of case for someone who takes it to work in their work bag every day, as this is too much ware and tear. But if you're like me and only use your iPad at home for daily use, then this case is perfect. This case is definitely great for the price. I received mine two days earlier than planned and it was exactly as the pictures above show. The microfiber is a great texture on the interior of the case and overall feels very secure on the device. A little too thick and heavy. Compared to the ones for IPad2 and newer which are so thin and lightweight.
