Upon opening the packaging for the ivy there was a light odor but it quickly dissipated. But Beware of what you open it on as the small green filaments/flaking from the vines will be numerous. Anyway, moving on. The greatest challenge for me was twining the strands of lights around the vines as the wire from the lights would get caught up in the leaves. After the 3rd vine strand I finally caught a rhythm. Since I twined the lights, I probably only used about 10-15 zip ties total. So, you could probably decrease your struggle and time input if you use the zip ties lol. What I really like about these ivy vines is that they’re the same color on all sides so you don’t have to worry about how you hang it/which side is displayed.
