In the past I'd used Mandelic Acid (23%) and Lactic Acid (10%), so 30% was absolutely something new. The instructions say not to use an acids 2 days before or 2 days after which I plan to heed. I washed my face and left it on for about a minute. I am sure as I continue to use it, I'll be able to go the full 5 minutes.It didn't burn but it did prickle as acids are prone to do. I like that you don't need a ton of product either, so this 1oz jar will likely last me for several once a week applications. As is my practice after a peel, I have a hydrating sheet mask on (Honey!). My skin did feel immediately softer after washing the peel off but I'll give it a few days to know for sure. Let me start off by saying I AM IN LOVE !! & will be buying a bigger container once I run out. When I first used it I was nervous because this is my first lactic acid peel. So I kept it on for 30secs, I felt a lil tingle but it could have been in my mind. The second time I did it for 1.5mins and my face was definitely tingling. I waited a week to do it a third time and I noticed my spots on my cheeks have already started to lighten up!! It is a very mild mild product. It boost collagen production and helps new skin th form by basically somewhat of an exfoliator. I use it on my legs for my keretosis (strawberry legs) and on my face to help it be more even and to get rid of dry patches. My skin does not peel with this product and I usually apply it and leave it on until I feel slightly uncomfortable with the tingling *never burning* . See a huge difference after applying it once a week to my face for a month. ( again this is mild with no peeling ) my skin tone is more even with a brighter complexion and no dry spots which helps my makeup go on smoother! Since my legs are less sensitive, I apply every other day.
