My iron has a metal sole plate. **Q: Anyone know if this will clean a heat press pad?** A: I am not sure. But because this is a cream AND your pressing pad is almost non-porous, putting a hot iron directly on the smeared pad, should work. You could then use another cloth to rub the pad clean. Hope this works. **Q: Do you think this could be used on a curling iron that has styling product residue on it?** A: It probably could as long as curling iron is hot like the iron has to be but make sure to wipe everything off. Do not leave any residue. **Q: Can you put it in the water reservoir for the iron with the iron full of water?** A: I don’t think so. It’s thick. You just put it on a towel and then rub the iron over it.
