This is the best case I've ever owned. I am a consumer of tough and preferably waterproof cases. I have owned otterbox armor and preserver cases in the past for my phones, and they worked well. I had a few complaints with them and I'll describe the differences I have found between them and this case.1. Button responsiveness. I found that the otterbox cases consistently had problems with pushing the buttons. I had to use my fingernails to use all of the hardware buttons. Because of this, the rubber over the buttons got cut by fingernail pushing over time. This case is different, it is much better designed, needing only slight pressure to press buttons. No fingernails needed.2. Call quality. No waterproof otterbox was able to handle phone calls. This case does. No more taking my phone out of its case frantically whole receiving a call.3. Metal mesh covers. I'm not sure who came up with it first, but it's a good idea of implemented right. Otterbox had a fatal flaw though, because their covers were flush with the outside surface of the case. This exposed them to a lot of wear just from handling,and they never failed to come off on the cases I owned. This case on the other hand, did not make the same mistake. It's metal mesh covers are recessed into the face of the surfaces they inhabit, preventing even intentional attempts to touch them.I love the feel of this case. I feel assured that my phone is protected. It's heavy. Extremely solid, heavy, and I can immediately tell it offers top notch protection. The gorilla glass screen alleviates any worry about my phone's screen being shattered. The aluminum frame and hard rubber alleviate any worry regarding fall damage or light water damage. My chargers still fit perfectly, which was my main concern, and the buttons are still easy to press.The only reason I rated 4 stars was due to 3 factors. First and foremost, the case adds a great deal to the overall size. My Galaxy S4 now feels like a Galaxy Note. I can barely hold my phone in one hand and do much of anything and it can just barely fit in the phone mount on my motorcycle. Secondly, this thing is pretty heavy. The case alone is heavier than the phone and previous case I had combined. It's not so heavy to make my arm tired, but there's a huge difference.Lastly, this isn't so much of a "con" as it is a minor inconvince, but there are screws required to assemble. They're tiny and could very easily strip, but mine came with 2 spare screws at least.All in all, this was a fantastic purchase. I'm not worried about damaging my overpriced phone and I didn't have to dish out $50+ for a case of equal protection. ### ⭐⭐ 2.0 out of 5 stars Seems like Gorilla Glass is a bunch of hype. *by W***E on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on December 20, 2016* It's a little heavy, but I suppose that is to be expected for this level of protection. I had an Otterbox and accidentally dropped my phone from 25 feet off a scaffold onto concrete. It broke the phone, but I'd wager it could take such a phone with this armor. It is darn near bullet proof. I love the construction of it. Nothing chinsey about it. 2 thumbs up. I just wish it had a holster available.Update March 15th :I bought this case on Dec 15th. Today is March 15th. I out it in my coat pocket and wasn't roughhousing or anything extraordinary. I just pulled it out and there is a crack all the way across the screen. I bought this because I had accidentally dropped my phone that I had in an OtterBox Defender from 20 feet and roached the phone. The Defender was no worse for wear, but I chose to switch to this case to insure that I would never destroy a phone again. Granted, my phone is fine, but this is the first time I have ever had Gorilla Glass on any case I have owned, and this is the 1st time I have had the glass break on any case I have had.I can't even figure out what broke it, because I didn't work today and was doing nothing out of the ordinary. I am now of the opinion that all of this big talk about Gorilla Glass is just that - big talk that is only meant to give you a sense of false security in order to sell their product. I have lowered my rating accordingly and will raise it back up if and when the company helps me out. A lot of money for 3 months of use before breaking. Let's see if the company helps me out.
