Review: Great Alternative to Fountain Pens! - I got this for when I needed to use a ballpoint, but wanted to run my fountain pen inks. I really like it. While it's not the same experience writing with a fountain pen, it allows you to use the inks you have on hand. It comes with a cartridge that is wedged in the top of the pen and an empty cartridge you can use to fill the pen up. You can also get the Monteverde mini converter too. I just use a syringe and fill the empty cartridge. But I also tried the mini converter too. Either way is fine. One thing I do like about using the empty cartridge and filling it up, is that you can leave the filled sealed cartridge in the pen and not have to worry about the attached cartridge popping off inside of the barrel causing a giant mess. It fills the empty void behind it. You could also use it as an emergency ink storage too. Really ingenious idea! It writes very well, and I'm happy with it. I'm currently running the Rohrer and Klingner Leipziger-Schwarz and the pen performs excellent. Cannot ask for anything more! I really wish more manufacturers would get on the bandwagon. This is a great idea and very eco-friendly.

**Q: Pen came with never been used empty cartridge & listing clearly states it it comes with a blue cartridge- how do I get a blue cartridge ?!?!!**
A: I know it's been a few years, but the blue cartridge is in the body of the pen behind the empty cartridge

**Q: What point is medium?**
A: Most would list it as a 0.5 mm.

**Q: Can you use the refillable adapter for the ink?**
A: The pen uses a standard international cartridge. If you have that size adapter, I think it should fit. Not sure how you would refill with the ballpoint. You would probably have to fill the adapter and then put it in the pen. I use a syringe to refill the empty ink cartridge.

**Q: What's the longevity of the tip? Do they sell replacements?**
A: Couldn't give specific time but the tip is very sturdy. Replacement tips are not available.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Pen but not perfect

My favorite pen, endlessly refillable if you get a mini refillable fountain pen cartdige and use fountain pen ink like pilot blue black. Writes bold like a fountain pen without all the finicky headache and unlike a regular rollerball doesnt run out of ink very quickly. The grip is very well shaped and so it the weight of the pen, a joy to use. I do have some cons however, the pen does seem to wear out over extended use of 1-2 years becoming more scratchy. The pen interior/ refill process I have is messy it would be nice if that could be improved.
