They actually work as well as other silicone potholders I have purchased at half the price. I believe the 4 and 5 star reviews here are fake due to the aforementioned reasons. There is no way you can use these with caste iron products either. They are OK for handling tin foil on the barbecue, that's about it. I will be returning mine because I feel I was duped by their outrageous claims and fake reviews. ### ⭐⭐ To resist or protect? *by R***S on February 5, 2016* I'm not sure if there is a thin spot or what but in grasping a 350 degree pan from oven the heat transfer to my middle finger was painful and unacceptable.
