This is a new collection of older and new models but it is a reminder that John Montroll revolutionized origami with his early books.  most of mine are well loved as this one will be.  The efficiency he shows in some of these models is still amazing.

This is a fun book - includes a color picture of each model and clear diagrams. Models range in difficulty but with practice they can easily be folded.

Die Anleitungen sind nichts für "Fortgeschrittene Anfänger". Anfänger finden exakt eine simple Anleitung. Alle anderen Anleitungen sind ambitioniert bis extrem schwer. Einige Faltungen sind nicht gut erkennbar, trotz der eigentlich sehr guten Darstellung. Da wären vielleicht 1-2 Zwischenschritte sinnvoll. Des Weiteren finde ich die Faltungen manchmal sehr unsauber. Es ist mehr ein Quetschen und Schieben, als ein Falten (sieht man übrigens gut an der Giraffe auf dem Titelbild) Die Modelle sind zwar sehr schön und realistisch, aber irgendwie fehlt mir da der Geist des Origami. Ich werde trotzdem noch das ein oder andere Modell probieren. Einfach der Übung halber.
