So long as it will go thru' the holes in the bars, it measures about 3mm in thickness, **Q: How do you tie a knot in it?** A: It's a bit slippery to tie but if you make a loop and wrap it round the line and pull it back through the loop, this can be fixed to a post. Look up a bowline knot on the internet (it's a boating knot) to tie the other end. This worked for me, I hope it helps you. **Q: How thick is this washing line please? Some lines seem to be too thin to use pegs!** A: without measuring my estimate would be 5 - 6 mm, we have had no problem with pegs, and i can honestly say this is probably the best washing line i have ever seen. **Q: What is the diameter?** A: No idea.
