I lay the unpeeled rug on my arrow shelf, and trace it with a pen. I then cut it with a slight extra margin for error. It goes on smooth and looks nice. The plastic side plate works decent too from what I can tell. DO NOT use arrows with plastic vanes if you are using this shelf rug; feathers ONLY. The plastic vanes will quickly tear up this rug, and are not designed to be shot off the shelf.

My version of this is a NOS (New Old Stock) authentic Bear Archery product, which I don't remember from the product listing. The adhesive on the back of the leather (vinyl) piece for the upright part of the riser is perfect and strong, but there is no peel off on the "rug" part for the arrow rest shelf. I tried applying heat to activate it to no avail, and the product comes with no instructions. I'm seeking an alternative for affixing the rug, otherwise, this would have been a 5 star review.
