I had bought these thinking they would be a good replacement for P90X Protein bars at half the cost per bar.... Well they are delcious, don't get me wrong. These are probably the best tasting bars I've ever had. The peanut butter is delicious, as is the chocolate. However, these bars are really for people hiking or in long term physical activity.They have higher sugar/fat content than P90x protein bars and I guess for that they weren't good for my weight loss.I will say they are good if you need a quick meal supplement. I do wish there was a variety pack with some of the other flavors(like chocolate brownie) I usually just end up buying a stand a lone box of some of the other flavors. I did. It was cheaper by about 10-cents a bar, and I was happy. The only problem was they wanted me to subscribe to a 12-pack instead of a 24-pack. Instead, to overcome that "problem" I halved the time between shipments. So now, my previous "unavailable" shipment suddenly becomes available at a higher price and is "ready to ship immediately", and the cheaper doubled order is back-ordered already more than a week over due. The current shipment of THIS item is due to arrive on the 26th (but it has already shipped and it is the 19th), so I'll be getting this one early for sure. Here's the problem: I tried for two days to cancel this order BEFORE shipment -- HEY, the back-ordered cheaper ones should have shipped by now (were due to be shipped 5 days ago), and Amazon tells me their cancellation operation for this product is "not working today, try back in a few minutes". I do this several times a day for a few days.Now, I really like the product (makes a great breakfast with my coffee, but a bit too sweet for my tastebuds), but I don't need 2 boxes of 12 and this box of 24 shipped all on the same day... presuming the other two boxes that are back ordered will ever ship, I'm not canceling because they are much cheaper. What am I (and one other in my household) going to do with 40 fat-bars lying around, not to mention that I buy other brands of similar for variety?Okay, I like the product, but I'm so annoyed at Amazon's inability to deal with the way they handled this order, I think I'll return it just for spite, because the way they let you adjust your order shipment and/or cancel is NOT AT ALL working very well -- actually, it hardly works at all, this is NOT the first time or even the second or third time Amazon has screwed up a mistake on their part with regards to an order. (About a year ago, they shipped my entire order to the wrong address, even though I verified on the shipment online that it was shipping to the correct address.) That cost me about $50 in products. Buyer beware!Oh, the energy bars: They make a great filling meal. Don't think you are getting anything "diet" though, they are high in carbs and sugars and relatively low on protein for what you get. I don't know what ingredient(s) they put in it that sometimes burns my mouth... possibly ground nuts. I LOVE, but have an allergy to raw walnuts and hazel nuts and large amounts of citrus products, each of which in highly concentrated forms leaves blisters inside my mouth. (The coffee I drink with a bar does a great job of washing the sting away, though.) The "organic" ingredients ought to make anyone happy, if that is more important to you instead of carbs and sugar and protein content.I buy a variety of energy bars for a snack or full meal, that I eat either for breakfast, or as a late afternoon snack. I'd hate to eat these all the time, but with a variety of a number of brands, these are good to add to your mix of this kind of "snack" or "meal substitute".An individual bar is plenty large enough to share with a friend and still get good filling satisfaction eating just half.
