Review: Mine was version RG_300_1 2019/09/28. See picture - Nice. Plays reto games very well. Controls are great. Came with 16GB card removable internal. None in external slot. Seems to be version with IPS display. Screen is clear and bright. Menu system is easy to operate. However, difficult to understand one emulator vs another from the naming. Trying to find a simpler firmware or my kids. Can load RetroFW firmware. Use the system 5B (RG 300 IPS) firmware off the GitHub site.
Review: Great for tech-savvy gamers, compared to the Retro Mini and NES unit from JAMSWALL - I have a couple of other handheld game units like this, one with NES ROM's from JAMSWALL and a GBA ROM loaded unit by Retro Mini. This unit surpasses both in quality and features, though it's more expensive (by about $10-$20). I'm not going to compare all three units extensively, doing so would entail too much writing for you to read. I will go into detail about one specific nuance comparison between these three: Unit operation and ease of use. This unit is more complicated to use compared to the JAMSWALL and Retro Mini. With the JAMSWALL, you start the unit, choose your language (Chinese or English) and pick the game you want to play via a side-scrolling list. That's all you need to do to play. Using the Retro Mini, you start the console, and are met with main menu choices, such as "Game" , "Music", etc. Assuming you want to play a game, you choose game, and are asked to select the storage location: "U'/" or "SD Card". Once you select a storage location you're presented with a list of games to pick from. Tech savvy users can tweak the system a little in options and load more game ROMs to either storage location. This console is like an expanded version of the software run by the Retro Mini. You have a small handful of different game console platforms (SNES, Sega Genesis, NEO GEO Pocket, etc.) to choose from, and numerous games within each platform. Tech savvy users will really be able to get under the hood of this software and tweak/modify it as they see fit. I keep my Retro Mini and JAMSWALL in my locker at work, to play with if I feel like it on breaks and lunch. A co-worker ran out of work recently and out of sheer boredom, asked to borrow both consoles. She tried the Retro Mini and got really frustrated trying to find a game she wanted to play, eventually asking me to find and load the game for her (She wanted to play Mario Kart Super Circuit). She found the JAMSWALL to be easier to use. I grew up using computers as a kid (in 5th grade, my school got new computers with this snazzy new tech called CD ROM!) and playing Nintendo games after school, so I'm not a tech expert but I'm very comfortable with numerous UI's and such. So I'm very comfortable navigating the JAMSWALL and Retro Mini, and while I'm comfortable choosing and switching games on this unit, the advanced system options feel out of my league so I leave them alone. So, this ties into my review title: How tech savvy are you/the person you're getting this for? While this unit costs the most, it's the most feature laden, and I personally feel in terms of hardware is of the best quality of the bunch. But it's advanced capabilities may overwhelm some people. The JAMSWALL is the most affordable, the most fragile feeling, easiest to use, and lacks basic features like save states. Yep, if you get to World 6 on Super Mario Bros. 3 and lose all your lives, you're starting all over. The Retro Mini is a bit more expensive, feels a tad more durable, is fairly easy to use and has basic features, and it's library is expandable. This unit costs the most, feels the most durable and has run very reliably, and has the features of the Retro Mini and a lot more. I'll be keeping this one at home, but will gladly take it traveling with me. If I did this all over again, I would only buy this console and pass on the JAMSWALL and Retro Mini. But I'm glad to have them nonetheless.

### ⭐ Junk!!
*by J***A on October 29, 2019*

Don’t waste your money. Opened it when it came in and it was playing great for about 30 min. After I tried to save a game it started freezing up when ever you picked a game in the menu and pressed A button. Then after trying to get it to play the screen was all messed up looking. Sent it back for a replacement and the replacement came today and same thing. It played great for about an hour and now it freezes up any time you try to pick a game and press the A button. I’m sure for someone who knows how to mod systems and add games on the SD card it’s great but for the average person just wanting to play some video games this thing is terrible. So disappointed. BUYER BEWARE!!!
