There are indents and a little discoloring at the notch holes where I buckle it, but otherwise there is no fading and most importantly no splitting as I have seen on other (more expensive) leather bands.I really like the stitching around the edges. It creates a nice 3-D effect and accentuates the curve across the band.I previously had used the rubber/silicon OEM sports band from Apple, and was afraid a leather band would not hold up. But even though I sweat every day for my morning run and then give it a quick rinse under the tap, it is holding up fine. I got the brown with black buckle, and am thinking of picking up another color or twoI saw another review that said the band was not flexible enough. I did not find it at all uncomfortable from the start. But with wear it does get softer. Over time I actually started to use a notch one-tighter than I had been using as the band softened and stretched a bit.
