But I have to say she kept this one close to the chest. If you haven’t read this series it’s a must read.Avion’s story picks up where it left off in Adam’s story. We’re introduced to a new character “One” which we know nothing about. The mysterious female with awesome mysterious powers. Who is she, where does she come from and most of all what is she. The female Avion hears in his head albeit faintly. But he is bound and determined to save her.We all know Avion is dying and his cyborg brothers are trying desperately to find a way to save him. We find out who “One” is (although I kind of suspected just wasn’t sure). We finally find out what is causing Avion’s nanos to die off, and how “One” ( Lilith) breaks a sacred promise to try and save him. Taking him to her Mentor Master “Z”.Tons and tons of action. We get to see Apheleon, Xylo, Deidre, Laura, Seth, Ana, Adam, Aramus and Riley in this shocker of a read. OMG the bomb Riley drops on Aramus was jaw dropping. BUT the ending, OMG the damn ending, I got sucker punched and blindsided all at the same time. I truly never saw that coming. Great read, great twist and great ending. I truly hope it’s not the ending. The military has found a way to destroy them. He is dying, slowly and painfully. On the way home with his metal brothers he hears a voice in his head.A woman held captive and alone for her whole life calls out for anyone to hear her. Her call is answered by a man named Avion, she tells him her name is one. Can she be the “one” who can save him or is she just one who needs to be saved before his time is over. He vows to save her before he dies and sets out for one last adventure.This is the final story of our beloved Cyborgs. We finally get answers and hopefully happily ever after for all. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wow....just WOW!!! *by N***N on Reviewed in the United States on April 23, 2015* Everything I read by Eve Langlais is fabulous, and this is no exception. If you haven't read this series, get them. They are well worth the time spent in any universe and monetary denomination. No spoilers here, just a bit of sadness that this book ends one of the most...human and fresh stories I've read in a very long time. I normally don't do sci fi, but this series called on some pretty powerful emotions. I read it in record time, sadly it was over before I knew how to process all the amazing gifts Eve gives in this mind bending installment of the cyborg series. If she writes more it will be on my automatically but,absorbed and bragged about books. I will miss this happy band of hunky warriors but I look forward to a new universe. I know that in this one I will never be the same since I found them. I'm speechless and will happily be dreaming a kenetic link to spy on Eve to see what new, witty and emotionally charged adventure she might invent for our next encounter.
