It is light, thin and sharp. The best time to define how sharp it is would be that the first time I used it I accidentaly cut myself. Its also wonderful because the food does not stick to the knife; banana's fell right off (I used banana's to test if they would stick). The knife came in a packaging that had the instructions in various languages.
