I love getting updates on couples that I've fallen for. In Keeping Her, I got to see what Bliss and Garrick have been up to. They've been working and struggling to make ends meet, but they couldn't be happier. They're happy because they have each other. And now that their relationship is official and moving towards an HEA, it's time to meet the family.So, Bliss and Garrick set off to London to meet his family. Bliss couldn't be more nervous. She worries that his mother won't like her based on what she's been told about her. Once in London, things get off to a bit of a rocky start, but Garrick tries to make sure Bliss is taken care of. I love that about him. He always puts her needs first.While fretting over Bliss, Garrick starts to get nervous that he won't be able to provide for Bliss as they are living now. After feeling a bit of pressure from his family, he entertains the thought of leaving theater behind, just to take care of Bliss. But, Bliss isn't having it. Despite the fact that things are always consistent in their life, the certainty is their love for each other. She refuses to let him give up his passion for stability. She knows that no matter what, they will make their life work. This is why they're such a great couple. They know each other, support each other, and truly have a found a great love together.Overall, I really enjoyed this novella. I think it was a great addition to a series I've fallen in love with. Garrick is just as dreamy as he was when I met him it Losing It, if not more! I kissed the corner of her jaw and returned the words.-Loc 1612 ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Keeping Her....from losing it. *by M***E on Reviewed in the United States on August 26, 2013* I really liked Keeping Her mostly because it was great to see where Bliss and Garrett's relationship went after Losing It ended. I thought the premise of meeting his folks in London was an engaging way of adding to the story and keep it fresh. I particularly liked the alternating POV. Getting Garrett's perspective on their relationship was a treat, especially after the epilogue in Losing It. His friends were amusing with their brotherly harassment but I loved his mother most. She was a handful but very entertaining. I hope that their characters are further explored in later books though I realize Bliss and Garrett won't be the MCs anymore.As I said, I really liked the book but it wasn't perfect. A couple things bothered me enough to lose a star. First, their relationship could sometimes be a little too new-relationship-lovey and insecure for having been together for over a year already. I realize they were on vacation, hadn't had a lot of time alone with their busy work schedules, were experiencing a few relationship first and were semi-newly engaged but even with all of that, it was occasionally over the top. Second,(and this is a very big hint at a SPOILER so don't read the next paragraph if you don't want it)I feel strongly that any woman with sense who is at a certain point in her life (and particularly a self-proclaimed control freak) would not be so absent-minded and cavalier about certain things regardless of her busy schedule and inexperience with said things...especially for a whole freaking month. That was a serious eye-roll moment for me.SPOILER moment over.Finally, the ending was pretty abrupt. However, it was a novella and their stories will very likely be further explored in the next books so....In any case, it was a great Novella and I'm looking forward to reading Faking It and Finding It. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great follow-up novella! *by R***A on Reviewed in the United States on August 17, 2013* "Keeping Her" is the follow-up novella of Losing It - one of my favorite books ever. I was so thrilled to know more about Bliss & Garrick's love story. I really, really loved these characters that's why I didn't think twice of buying this book.This book continues the love story of my favorite gorgeous British teacher - Garrick and my favorite heroine - Bliss. This time, they went to London to meet Garrick's parents. Of course Bliss was very terrified of meeting them especially Garrick's Mom, upon hearing some negative things about her. Then when they finally reached Garrick's house, she discovered something huge about his life. A secret that caught her off-guard but well, knowing she's a good actress, she just played along with it and she did amazing.I loved this story, from the way it was narrated through alternating POVs between Bliss & Garrick. I was happy to to know Garrick's thoughts and feelings about Bliss. Danggit! His love for Bliss radiates throughout the story. Their love for each other is very overwhelming. Oh & Garrick's best buddies - Rowland & Graham? Loved these two, their witty banters towards each other brought comedic relief in the story.Loved it though I wished it's much longer. I love to hear that our dear author would continue Garrick & Bliss' story (wish, wish, wish!). The ending felt rushed for me but I know it's a novella so pretty sure it's shorter but I'm not complaining. Still glad that they're still together and working their very best to have their HEA. I would like to read more about their wedding though. That would really be awesome.I enjoyed reading it.
