What happened?** A: I think this person probably is talking about Liquid Fence. I used that in the past and it did stink. Deer Out has a mild and pleasant mint odor. Within minutes to hours there is no detectable odor remaining. Not only have I "never experienced" a stench with Deer Out, I do not believe that it is possible. If this person insists the product is Deer Out, then that is simply disinformation--perhaps from a competitor or someone with a grudge against the company. **Q: Best hose applicator to use with this product?** A: I use a pump sprayer ( bought on Amazon)...it works great for me.
