This isn't as easy to do when you have all hardwood floors. (Try doing sit-ups on hardwood floor! They kill your hips, back and spine!) After a few days of completely punishing my body, I ordered this mat. This is just what I needed to put on the floor and give my body the comfort it needed while exercising. It is lightweight, resists up-curling at the ends pretty well, and hasn't gone flat on me yet. While it is definitely showing some wear after three months of use, it has not yet begun to crumble at the edges or show any permanent splits in the material anywhere. I didn't want to spend much on this mat, and I didn't.
