## Features

- INTERIOR DESIGN: The term ‘shabby chic’ boasts ‘the beauty of imperfection’, that’s what shabby chic is all about – restoring furniture while still giving it a distressed, ‘imperfect’ finish.
- A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY: Great coverage saving you time and money. Long-lasting durability, little-to-no prep work required for wood (just clean first). Suitable for interior and exterior painting projects.
- CHALK BASED (Not Chalk Paint): Shabby Chic is a chalk based paint. Specifically formulated to create a distressed or imperfect look where brush strokes are desirable. To achieve this look a thinner paint with superior pigments is preferred over a thicker paint.
- MULTIPLE SURFACES: Ideal for wooden furniture, metal, plastic, brick, stone, and plaster. Refurbish a wood dresser, vanity, picture frame, or crib without a primer (wood only, on other surfaces a primer is recommended)
- ADVANCED FORMULA: Non-toxic, Water-Based, Low Odor, ultra low VOC. Contains NO harsh chemicals such as phthalates, formaldehyde, heavy metals, or solvents. Genuine Quality, made in the U.K. just outside of London.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can I paint over finished wood without sanding?**
A: I just did a super light sanding. I painted a hall table and didn’t have to use much paint at all. The table had the same color as the new paint but it was glossy paint before. I recommend it.

**Q: Has anyone ever used this for a kitchen table? If so, do you have a picture? Thank you!**
A: I have not used this for a table . I used it on 2 dressers. Since it is chalk paint, I would recommend using some kind of sealer as you will be washing your table. The chalk paint will wipe off. I have used two different sealers. Polyurethane and another Behrs matte sealer that does not give it a shine if you want to stay with matte.

**Q: Can you use this on Metal?**
A: Yes, you can. For best results please primer the metal (wood does not need to be primed).

**Q: Can this be used for an area to use chalk on a door??**
A: No this is not chalkboard paint. However the makers of Shabby Chic also make chalkboard paint in 8 beautiful colors including Grey, available here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MXLH0RS

Shabby Chic Chalk Based Furniture paint is genuine quality made in the UK. Water-based chalk paint with virtually no odour. The paint can be used directly onto Wood (bare or painted), brick, stone, plaster or any suitably primed rigid surface (eg.metal, plastic, ect). Create a distressed look by applying two coats in contrasting colours then sanding / scoring when dry. Paint Preparation: For best results, ensure surface is clean and free from wax or oil. If wax has been used clean the surface thoroughly with white spirit. We recommend that bare wood should be sanded before painting. Application: Stir thoroughly prior to use. The product may be applied by brush or roller. If applying by brush, apply evenly following the grain of the wood. If rolling, use a short nap mohair roller. To create a distressed look apply two coats in contrasting colours. Allow to dry then lightly abrade with moistened sand paper or stainless steel scoring pad - abrade with the grain of the wood. Coverage: up to 12m2 per litre. Coverage may vary depending upon method and rate of application and porosity of surface. Drying Time: Touch dry in 1 hour. Handle after 2 hours. Apply a second coat after 2 hours if necessary. Full hardness after 3 hours. Clean Up: with water. Do not empty into drains or water courses. Some local authorities have special facilities for the disposal of waste coatings.
