Definitely a great alternative to gel-type products, and my hair doesn't feel stiff to the touch like with those products and is thus able to maintain a more full-bodied appearance despite thinning on top (can't sculpt away genetics, unfortunately). Also notable is that a little bit goes a long way, so the entire package should easily last weeks (or longer), depending on how much hair you have to work with.Overall, if you're still reading this I'd say you've found an excellent alternative to other styling products, and highly encourage you to give it a try. I bought this on a whim hoping it would be just what I wanted to define, mold and add texture to my pixie cut without being too sticky or stiff. The gamble paid off because this product totally met my expectations. I have been using Osis Thrill...which I love...for several months. Mess Up is much softer, silkier and is less sticky while it does just what the name implies. I like my hair to be styled on the edgy side without being too drastic and Mess Up does just that.
