Rcv'd the 12 pc Cook N Home cookware on 7/1/15. A small "Care and Caution" insert came in the box stating the pans can only go in the oven at temps of 350 degrees Fahrenheit or below, and the glass lids to 270 degrees. Another customer commented here the pans can be used in ovens up to 500 degrees, and the lids to 350 degrees. Being unsure due to the discrepancy I emailed NEWAY at CS@newayusa.com for clarification. They recommend to not put the pans in the oven in temps above 350 degrees, and the lids in ovens no higher than 270 degrees to protect them from discoloring. I emailed them a 2nd time asking them if using them in the oven at higher temps would damage the pans beyond the discoloration problem, and would they remain usable and cleanable? They replied "higher temps would not damage the function of the pans and they would remain usable and cleanable, but they would get discolored, probably in a rainbow type fashion". I haven't tried them in the oven myself but if you want the shiny stainless steel appearance to remain you should follow their temp recommendations of 350 degrees for the pans & 270 degrees for the glass lids. ... As for the quality and appearance of this 6 pan/6 lid set they all seem well worth the money. They are not super heavy, nor are they too lightweight. They are not as heavy as an old Farberware set I had, but they are heavy enough for home use and they are very well made. A good value for the $$. I would recommend buying them for home use. I will update this down the road should I notice anything concerning.Add'l comment: The manufacturer kindly answered both my emails the same day. Their office is in CA. The pans are made in China. All cookware, without exception, can be used with conductive stoves.This cookware also works well with inductive stoves. **Q: Are these the 18/10 stainless steel?** A: Yes. 18/10 is stamped on the bottom of each piece. **Q: 2 Qs: 1) Do they have Teflon coating? 2) I notice that it says aluminum inside. Where? between stainless steel? Or am I cooking ON aluminum??** A: There is no Teflon. The aluminum inside is between a layer of stainless steel on the outside bottom of them and a layer of stainless steel on the inside bottom. In other words, if you cut the pot/pan in half, you would see three layers at the bottom, the 2 layers of stainless steel sandwiching a layer of aluminum.
