There are big chunks of citrus skin, and the rest is syrupy, with no bits of citrus flesh. The syrup has that unique floral, Earl Grey tea flavour, and is nice drizzled onto vanilla ice cream or toast. It tastes slightly like the aromatic zest of a grapefruit, but without the bitterness. The peel tastes nice, but after the second or third bite, that grapefruit peel zest zing suddenly gives a sort of stinging sensation. But oddly, it is not very bitter either. The syrup is too thin and the sour cherries are too soft and soggy .The taste is equivalent to the texture.
