Brustro Artists' Bristlewhite Brushes Brustro White Bristle brushes are made of high quality hog hair double crimped on nickel plated brass ferrules on a short flat wooden handle. The black matt finish on the wooden handles not only enhances the aesthetic value but also assures its longevity. Ideal for acrylic, gouache, oil and also watercolours. These brushes keep their shape after long and vigorous use. The bristles are stiff, with a precise snap that makes them excellent for use with heavy-bodied acrylics and oils. They have long handles that allow artists to work at a distance from the painting surface. These brushes are a value buy. Available Brushes ROUND Round brushes come in pointed and blunt tips. Both can be used to create a modulated, linear mark by applying more or less pressure during the stroke; the pointed round is ideal for fine detail. Used on their sides in a scribbling motion, they’ll make an irregular, broken patch of color. BRIGHT The bright is a short-bristled, flat brush that’s ideal for short, controlled strokes. It can be used with heavy paint and, like the flat, will deposit marks with distinct, square edges. FILBERT Filberts are long-bristled, flat brushes with a rounded tip. Filberts can also make a flat patch of color with no distinctive brush marks when used on its side in a scribbling motion. FAN WIDE FLAT Flat brushes are versatile. Their long bristles can lay smooth patches of color; make long, bold strokes; or, when using their edges, execute fine crisp lines. Marks made with a flat brush have a distinctive square edge.
